Introduced pediatric cardiology ​and pediatric intensive care

1994

Development of the audiology program (Newborn Hearing Screen)

1996

BabySteps introduced to bolster research, education, quality and safety initiatives

1997

Launched maternal-fetal medicine and formalized Center for Research, Education, Quality and Safety (CREQS)

2000

Launched online continuing medical education (CME) and continuing nursing education (CNE) for maternal-fetal and newborn community

2001

Introduced continuous quality-improvement (CQI) ​program

2007

"100,000 Babies Campaign," a large-scale neonatal quality-improvement study, began

2008

Company changes its name to MEDNAX, Inc.; Patient Safety Organization formed

2016

100,000 Babies Campaign published in Pediatrics*, showing improved outcomes and cost savings; CREQS received third accreditation from ACCME

2020

MEDNAX, Inc. rapidly expanded its telehealth program in response to COVID-19​

2021

MEDNAX, Inc. expanded to offer pediatric urgent care
