Our pediatric neurologists provide specialized care by treating and managing the complex needs of children with neurological disorders.
According to the Child Neurology Foundation, one in five children in the United States will live with a neurologic disorder. Neurologic disorders occur when part of the brain or nervous system fails to function properly, triggering physical and/or psychological challenges. They can be present at birth (congenital), primarily caused by gene or chromosome disorders. They can also be developed after birth (acquired), caused by various factors, such as toxins, infections, birth-related complications and traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries.
Prompt diagnosis of neurological conditions is critical to long-term patient outcomes. Pediatrix board-certified/eligible, highly educated pediatric neurologists perform advanced diagnostic tests, establishing the root cause of neurological issues in children and collaborating with the patient’s family and primary care pediatrician to determine the best possible treatment plan. Specializing in managing the complex needs of children facing various neurologic issues, our pediatric neurologists help young patients reach their full potential.
Bringing expertise and compassion to pediatric patients, our board-certified/eligible, fellowship-trained pediatric neurologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions facing children.
