OB hospitalists are board-certified obstetricians and gynecologists (OBGYNs) who have dedicated their career to the care of obstetrical and gynecological patients in the hospital. OB hospitalists are skilled at inpatient pregnancy management and gynecology emergencies. They also provide labor management and supervision. Our OB hospitalists are available 24/7, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care at any time and in any situation. Additionally, in the event of an emergency, we have the ability to assess and treat a patient requiring immediate care. Our OB Hospitalist program is yet another initiative to enhance the quality of care delivered to women.
OB Hospitalist Services Include:
- Evaluating patients during triage or in an obstetric emergency department.
- Caring for unassigned OBGYN patients.
- Conducting consults in the emergency department and on inpatient floors.
- Responding to OBGYN emergencies.
- Assisting during caesarean-sections.
- Monitoring laboring patients.
- Overseeing residents, fellows, midwives or advanced practice nurses.
- Serving on patient safety and quality review boards.
