Ryan Junkin, NNP

About

Ryan Junkin, NNP, received his undergraduate training in nursing at Cox College in Springfield, Missouri, after earning a bachelor’s degree in bible and theology and a master's degree in biblical languages. Following graduation, he worked in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)for 3 years in the NICU at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. During this time, completed his master's degree in nursing through the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has been a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner in the NICU at Mercy Hospital Springfield since 2018.

Junkin is an active member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses and National Association of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. He serves as a reviewer for the journal Advances in Neonatal Care.

When he's not working, Ryan enjoys being outdoors in the Ozarks, training for fitness competitions, reading and playing golf. He lives in Nixa, Missouri, with his wife, son and two daughters.
