About
Outside of work, Dr. Mayida enjoys playing chess, tennis, football, going to the gym, reading and traveling. She seeks opportunities to see and experience different parts of the world and has traveled through Europe, the United States and much of southern Africa. Dr. Mayida speaks Shona, the language spoken by the majority of Zimbabweans. She also has proficiency in Ndebele (Zulu language) and Setswana, the national language in Botswana, and is currently learning Spanish.
