Daniel Shmorhun, M.D., a board-certified pediatric cardiologist, received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his pediatric residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, followed by pediatric cardiology and pediatric electrophysiology fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Shmorhun served in the U.S. Navy as a pediatric electrophysiologist until 2012, when he joined Pediatrix® Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology Associates of Texas (formerly Children's Cardiology Associates). He is a member of the Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Shmorhun evaluates and treats heart beat abnormalities (arrhythmias) and performs heart catheterization procedures, such as catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.
