Karen Stephens, NNP

About

Karen joined the Pediatrix team in Nashville in 2014, providing care in nine area neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) ranging from level II and level III to transport. She worked with a telehealth neonatology group that provided services to various level II NICUs in Tennessee and Georgia before joining the team at HCA Gulf Coast in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Karen received her master’s degree in nursing and neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. After graduation, Karen worked as a NICU nurse for 17 years in various units across the country. She also served as the director of an outpatient surgery center.
