Shanti Thirumalai, M.D.

About

Shanti Thirumalai attended medical school in Mumbai and was a pediatrician in India before she decided to become a child neurologist. She trained at Vanderbilt University (child neurology), University of California San Diego (pediatrics and biochemical genetics) and Johns Hopkins/Kennedy Krieger (neurogenetics). She is board-certified in pediatrics, neurology with special qualification in child neurology, sleep medicine, clinical neurophysiology and intraoperative monitoring.

She has worked as a child neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist for more than 25 years.

She is delighted to work at Pediatrix and embraces the philosophy of providing the best care to every patient. As a member of the tele-neurology program, she looks forward to supporting fellow pediatricians in diagnosing and treating neurological conditions.
