Paulette Abbas, M.D.

Paulette Abbas, M.D., was born and raised in Dallas. She attended high school at The Hockaday School. She then graduated from University California-Davis, with high honors, with a major in Neurobiology and minor in Economics. She returned to Texas and attended medical school at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. Dr. Abbas also has a master’s degree in clinical science from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Houston Methodist Hospital. During her time in residency, she spent two years completing a research fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine focusing on clinical sciences and quality. Dr. Abbas completed a pediatric surgical fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Dr. Abbas is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association, American College of Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, Association of Women Surgeons, and the Texas Medical Association. Her clinical interests include congenital anomalies, neonatal surgery, thoracic surgery, ovarian surgery, and pediatric laparoscopy.
