Obstetric Hospitalists

In addition to our MFM specialists, our team includes a group of board-certified obstetrician/gynecologists assigned to the labor and delivery units. The OB/GYNs, referred to as OB hospitalists, are skilled at inpatient pregnancy problem assessment and management. They also provide labor management and supervision. Our OB hospitalists are available 24/7, ensuring patients receive high-quality care at any time, in any situation.

OB Hospitalist Program

The OB Hospitalist Program is a collaborative effort between Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists of the Mountain States and St. Mark’s Hospital. Our hospitalists are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide coverage as requested. Additionally, in the event of an emergency, we have the ability to assess and treat a patient requiring immediate care. Our OB Hospitalist Program is yet another initiative to enhance quality of care.

Our hospitalists practice only in the hospital setting and not privately in the community. Our OB hospitalists are supported by our maternal-fetal medicine specialists who act in a supervisory role and oversee practice management and protocols. We strive to provide pregnant women and their fetuses with high quality care through evidence-based medicine and a commitment to safety.
