Avishai Alkalay, M.D.

Dr. Alkalay is currently an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has presented and published work ranging from genetic diseases in children to maternal diseases affecting pregnancy, including thyroid disorders of pregnancy and gestational diabetes.
Since completing his Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship, Dr. Alkalay has been presented with multiple accolades, including being nominated as “America’s Top Obstetrician and Gynecologists” by the Consumers Research Council of America in 2010 and “Super Doctors–Rising Stars Edition” in 2013 and 2014. He was also honored with Vitals’ Patients' Choice Award in 2017 and 2018.
Dr. Alkalay is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
After spending a few years in New York to complete his subspecialty training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Alkalay and his family returned to Dallas, where he has extended family and friends. Dr. Alkalay has been married for over 15 years and has three children.
