Dr. Thomas H. Renard, board certified in pediatric surgery, has more than 25 years of experience. He received his medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency at St. Paul Medical Center, both in Dallas. His experience includes the completion of three fellowship programs (Pediatric Liver Transplantation, Adult Liver Transplantation and Pediatric Surgery) and past faculty appointments at University of Texas Health Science Center and University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
Dr. Renard has participated in research, has a long list of published works and for years was active in pediatric kidney and liver transplants. He recently led a team of surgeons, including three pediatric surgeons from Pediatric Surgical Associates, in successfully separating conjoined twins at Medical City Children's Hospital in Dallas.
Dr. Renard grew up in Richardson, Texas, and met his wife while they were attending Southern Methodist University for undergraduate studies. Dr. Renard's wife is a pediatrician and they have three sons, all Eagle Scouts. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys snow skiing and cycling.
Dr. Renard and his wife are actively involved in two local ministries, Our Calling and Thrive Women's Ministry.
