Robert Thomas, M.D.

About

Dr. Robert P. Thomas is a native of San Antonio. He attended Duke University where he received his Bachelor's degree in chemistry (with distinction) in 1993. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston in 1997. Dr. Thomas next completed his training in general surgery at UTMB in Galveston from 1997 to 2004. Following completion of this training, Dr. Thomas began his training in pediatric surgery in Detroit at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, completing his fellowship in 2006.

Dr. Thomas is board certified in general and pediatric surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has over 20 publications and presentations to his credit.
